TASAF RUBISH AND DONOR SCRAMBLE

This series of 6 pictures was taken in a quick succession in Neema sub-village Kilema Pofo village. It shows a concrete irrigation canal,(or what is supposed to be one)of Ndekombeka irrigation project funded by (Tanzania Social Action Trust Fund) TASAF money,it is six months old since construction, the purposed project beneficiaries say it wa supposed to be constructed using 40million Tanzanian shillings but 18Million is the amount that eventually trickled down to the subvillage level and what you see is what they got.Interestingly there is a sign board hardly a kilometer away identifying an irrigation project funded by the government of Japan a few years ago,the sign board appears at picture no 7 and 8,it reads Rehabilitation of Nganjoni village  irrigation project in part, again interestingly there is,as this is being prepared,an entourage of irrigation engineers from German being courted to construct an irrigation project at the same area so that this spot is part of their donor funded project!
