KARANGA PRISON’S SWIFT RESPONSE

A few days ago we posted a story on how Karanga prison officials cleared a grove of mature Gravelia robusta trees and planted new ones only to run out of firewood source for their establishment instead of utilizing the branches off the older trees, somehow reminiscent of ‘the goose that laid a golden egg’. Today the prisoners were busy uprooting the thick stumps of the old trees apparently to clear evidence, also the way they were being guarded was a bit different. Too many armed askaris were around, some watching over the prisoners while some watching the nearby road for any ‘malicious’ individuals, this caused-no-pictures-taken situation!!
Looks like we hit where it hurt!
